2. Ultraviolet, Shanghai, China
With three Michelin stars, the kitchen is led by Paul Pairet. There’s only one table in the restaurant, although it can seat up to ten people. A twenty-course tasting meal featuring unique ingredients presented in creative ways is what you can expect to enjoy for $900.
Additionally, Ultraviolet offers a fully immersive sensory experience that includes background-playing audio and visual effects, as is becoming increasingly common in upscale dining establishments. In order to provide an immersive eating experience, cuisine and multi-sensory technology were combined in this first-ever restaurant, which opened its doors in 2012.
Guests are led on a global culinary adventure with a diverse array of foods, despite the menu’s strong French flavor. While dining, there’s a fun element of surprise—the French national song, sung in Japanese, starts playing right before a sashimi dish is served! Only the greatest meats, veggies, and seafood are served at Ultraviolet.
